In 2003, Azoriani \u2013 Anima\u00e7\u00e3o e Turismo was founded, a tourism company based on the island of S\u00e3o Miguel, in Ponta Delgada. With a team of approximately 15 employees, Azoriani inaugurated its first major project on June 6, 2003: the Comfort Inn Ponta Delgada Hotel. This moment marked the birth of the first hotel in the region associated with an international chain, through the franchising of the Comfort brand, part of the Choice Hotels network.<\/p>\n

Located in the heart of Ponta Delgada, the 3-star Comfort Inn Hotel has 46 rooms. These are divided into four different types: double, twin, triple, and single. The rooms have air conditioning, a desk, TV, and private bathroom with bathtub and amenities. \"\"<\/p>\n

The Comfort Inn Ponta Delgada Hotel also offers cleaning service, laundry service, 24-hour reception, bar, meeting room\/business center, and free parking.<\/p>\n

The year 2018 was marked by the sale of Azoriani, which became part of the F\u00e1brica de Tabaco Micaelense group. This acquisition is part of a strategy to diversify and strengthen the company’s business portfolio, which began this project by renovating all the rooms at the Comfort Inn Hotel and some common areas.<\/p>\n

In addition, in 2023 Azoriani will begin operating Casas Amarelas, FTM’s five local accommodations. These consist of three two-bedroom houses, one three-bedroom house, and one eight-bedroom house. With a shared garden and private parking, Casas Amarelas offers fully equipped houses that are perfect for those visiting the island of S\u00e3o Miguel with their families.<\/p>\n

In 2024, construction will be completed on what is now the Azoriani City Hostel Ponta Delgada. This project is aimed at those traveling alone or with family\/groups who want to share experiences and cultures. Also located in the heart of Ponta Delgada, the Azoriani City Hostel has four private double rooms and three shared dormitories with private bathrooms. In addition, it has a kitchenette, two living rooms, and an outdoor patio.<\/p>\n

In 2025, Azoriani begins a new chapter in its history with the unveiling of its new logo\u2014a change that symbolizes not only a new image, but also the result of a continuous process of modernization and strategic investment.<\/p>\n

This new visual identity represents the evolution of the brand, combining tradition and innovation. With a more modern, clean design adapted to current communication standards, the new logo conveys a more dynamic Azoriani, confident and prepared for the challenges of the future.<\/p>\n

\"\"One of the most significant milestones in this process will take place on February 1, 2025, with the official rebranding of the Comfort Inn Hotel, which will now operate under The Azoriani Boutique, Ascend Hotel Collection. This transition represents not only a name change, but also a clear commitment to enhancing local identity, personalizing the experience, and offering excellent service, in line with the new standards of the Ascend by Choice Hotels brand.<\/p>\n
